Dear Reader,
If I were to bring a new board game to your house and ask you to play, the first thing you'd want to know is how to play the game. I mean, you wouldn't want to play if I withheld the rules from you, would you?
Well, I've wondered alot lately, why don't we have that same thought when it comes to the game of life? I mean... real life... like, daily living, life ?
If a human being is born onto this Earth with no direction as to how to play, how to proceed, then... how do we, the opponents of one another, expect anything more than what any one individual does? If YOU reader were graced with the direction booklet, know the rules and how to play the game, woulnd't it be fair to say, you have an advantage? And knowing that, wouldn't you WANT to teach the rules to others so that they are on the same playing ground? I mean, what good is it if YOU win, if your opponent, doesn't have the rules? It's like playing a game of checkers with a toddler who doesn't know how to play. So what if you take all the toddlers checkers and win. That's a bully, not a winner. Why not give everyone the directions for the Game of Life?
When I look at the people struggling with health issues, I feel that same way. They don't have the rule book for The Game of Life.
When I see people struggling with relationships, I feel the same way. They were never given the rule book for The Game of Life.
When I see people struggle with finances, again, I think to myself, do they have the rulebook? Or is so, what rule in the playbook was overlooked?
Over the course of the past ten years or so, I've started seeing the 10 Commandments with new eyes. Having been raised a good portion of my teen life by my grandmother who religiously brought my siblings and I to church every Sunday, I thought I had the "gist" of church and these rules God gave humanity. But as life goes, they stopped making sense when people in the church were't following the rules. Life started to feel unfair. And as I began having more experiences with the "church people" on my journey, I decided to take opportunities to visit other types of churches that had other "rules", other "principles" and other ways of looking at life.
Some of these churches fit for awhile, but then, they too stopped making sense. I discovered that I didn't like being part of an organization that kept changing the rules. I didn't like being part of something that was supposed to be "Godly" or "spiritual", yet lacked love and compassion. So I left all churches and started to study the work of spiritual authors and scientists and it was then, studying Natural Law, physics, SIr Isaac Newton, and authors life Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, Rhonda Byrne, Gregg Braden, Neale Donald Walsch, Bruce Lipton, Dean Hamer, and Joe Dispenza, that I began to see the ten commandments from a scientific point of view.
After reading the book, The Kybalion, I finally grasped the concept of Universal Laws and the commandments in a way that made sense. These commandments, laws of nature, God's laws, are unchanging. These laws are universal and work the same for everyone no matter WHO you are. These laws, laws of nature, don't care what title you earned or how much clout you posses. They don't care if you are rich or poor, are the Pope or the President. Every person is accountable to the laws of nature. And the Law of Cause and Effect, as Newton so put it, will return to you exactly what you give others. Just watch a video of Newton's cradle to see how that works. And so, it's no suprise that the commandments that we are told came from God, the vibration of love and goodness, would advise us, or COMMAND us... not to kill or steal or do wrong.... because as a good parent would warn us, there WILL BE CONSEQUENCES.
Perhaps the 10 Commandments are a good starting point to teach your children how to succeed, whether in school, whether in friendships, or whether in just everyday life. And better yet, perhpas you dear reader were never taught the meaning of these commandments, so maybe its a good time for us ALL to take some time each week to study what these rules in life mean. I mean, if they will help you succeed, wouldn't you want to learn the rules of life so you could have better health, better relationships, better finances?
I mean... what do you have to lose? You don't have to attend a church building to study the 10 commandments. You can sit in the quiet of your own home, set your "sabbath" day, and contemplate how to improve your health and happiness. Why not talk to the invisible force that some call "God" and ask this "force" how to begin to implement these to create a better, healthier, more fulfilling life?
I mean... what do you have to lose? You can even take the easy commandment... thou shalt not kill. That's easy! Well.... unless you are part of an organization and carry a weapon that may result in someone dying. And if that is the case... you may want to study Newton's Cradle even more.... the science of karma.... the Law of Physics that state, every action has an opposite and equal reaction.... because.... it's important for your well being to know this law of physics, this commandment of God, of Nature. If you know a Veteran, please pray that they may come to know God's Laws, Universal Laws, immutable laws, these laws that are explained in the science of physics. Pray for our country that has, for hundreds of years, relied on war to solve problmes. It is imperative. We are living in the time when everything is returning. Karma is returning faster. Wisdom is returning to humanity. The enlightened ones have returned to assist humanity. And daily, YOU can return to Ho'oponopono... if you choose to start following the commandments. If you chooos to do life differently and cause harm to NONE.
What do you have to lose? NO one saves us but ourself.... we alone must walk the path.
Until next time reader, love your neighbor as yourself. Pray for your enemy. Do no harm.
You are loved,
Rev. Gail Lynn
