INTENTIONS AND MANIFESTATIONS

November 9, 2023

Dear Reader,

Intention and manifestation are concepts related to the creation of our daily lives and the world in which we live.

If you were to look up the word "manifestation" or "manifest" you would find many synonyms and many ways to use the word. From Bible scripture, to Webster's Dictionary, to spiritual "woo-woo", to scientific principles, to "make manifest" is something every sector of life has heard of and made use of in some manner.

In Bible scripture, we can read in 1 Corinthians 14:25 one instance where prophesy and speaking in tongues are used as a means of teaching about manifestation. Prophesy, it is said, is for those who believe, for prophesy is a KNOWING that that which was spoken will be made manifest and even that which is held secret in the heart is "made manifest". We prophesy that which we create, having faith it shall come to pass.

Also, in the book of Colossians chapter 1, we read about the process of manifestation also. "We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray (intend) for you because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God's people- the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven ... "

Again Apostle Paul leads, "the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord's people. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."

Like Paul in his time, today many are admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, "so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ (consciousness). To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me." May you see clearly the teachings of manifestation within scripture.

Manifestation and materialization was also strewn throughout the Hindu teachings as well. Paramahansa Yogananda shared instances of IMMEDIATE manifestation and materialization within his writings, The Autobiography of a Yogi". Through this work many have come to know or are close to knowing, "You are ALL gods, if you only knew it." (Just as Jesus said, "I and my Father are One".)

Now looking at the word "intention", to "intend" or make an intention, is to direct our attention to an object of knowledge; it is a means to do or bring about something. Intention is a plan, a design to bring about that which you target your thought and energy toward. Some intentions are obvious and stated, practiced and repeated in order to bring about an event or. materialization of something. And then there are other intentions that are not so obvious, such as when someone (or many someones) repeatedly state that something WILL happen, such as a pandemic. This proverbial statement, "A pandemic WILL happen" is like a commandment to the universe observing the basic truth of the spoken word commanding the universe to bring it on.

Back five or ten years ago, I knew nothing about the word "manifesting" and its significance in my daily life. I was in the midst of a diagnosis with Lyme disease, journaling my thoughts and emotions, and writing letters to "god". I had also started reading books by spiritual authors like Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, and Ester Hicks. I read the book, "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne and thought the Law of Attraction was a simple wish making technique to manifest my desires by asking the universe for it. But I had not learned THEEE secret. It wasn't until I began to put together puzzle pieces as I was writing my healing journey through Lyme that I realized some spiritual truths that connected science and laws of physics to manifesting. It was after reading my journal (as I was writing my story, "The. Heroine's Journey; a tale of love, forgiveness, and the implications of universal laws") that I had an "aha" moment.

How is it that a house went up for sale in a spiritual community where I wanted to live? How is it that a soul mate that I was writing to showed up in my life and we lived out some of those things that I wrote about??? I began wondering, can I really intend or wish for something and it just shows up in my life? How is it that it works sometimes but not all the time?

Thinking back over the years, in the beginning, I had NO IDEA I was creating (manifesting) things to appear in my life. house, like my house in the spiritual community in western New York called Lily Dale. I had no idea I manifested a mild heart attack or mini stroke. And I surely had no idea I was manifesting a soul mate... until I reread my journal and had that SURPRISE, reading about laying on the sofa, falling asleep together with my legs wrapped around his as we watched "The Notebook" on my trip to Maui. And meeting Reid Tracy from Hay House four months after writing about my intention to one day meet him.

Learning about intentions and manifestations has been quite the journey of discovery. It was fun in the beginning, but witnessing others do the "not so good" intentions has not been so fun. And realizing how the world event, the C-19 pandemic was manifested, was... well.... it was disheartening. It was devastating. It was like I knew the secret but I couldn't teach others the secret because they didn't understand the language. It was as if I were speaking Chinese to my American friends and family. Many just could not understand how the pandemic was a "manifestation" of a group of minds put together writing, practicing, acting as if, and putting their thought and energy into a (fake) pandemic that someday "WILL HAPPEN" as some of them kept saying. Well.... they got just what they said, WOULD happen... by merely thinking, planning, preparing, and practicing it... just like I did to manifest a soul mate, meeting Reid Tracy and Ram Dass, and going to Maui... and more recently... another FUN discovery.... another manifestation that has come to be.... which I wrote into my journal in October 2022... to meet another person and well... but I'll save that for next week. Maybe I'll even share my journal with you to see how it occurred... and maybe, just maybe ... it will help you to do good in our world. Maybe, just maybe, it will help others to STOP practicing simulations (acting as if, rehearsing an event) that bring about harm.

For my last words, a word of caution... as you make manifest your desires... remember the laws of physics... that which you do to another, will be done to you. As Newton's third law of Motion states, for every action, there's an equal an opposite reaction. And so, if I have ever made an intention that caused you or your family harm or suffering, I am sorry. Forgive me for my mistake and/or ignorance. And for grace, I am thankful and offer back to you the same, with love.

Until next time, manifest peace, joy, and good health with harm to none. And if you do realize you've caused harm, return to ho'oponopono.

Blessings,

Rev. Gail Lynn
